Sinopsis: Una vez fue fuente de vida, luz y calor. Pero ahora el Sol ha convertido al mundo entero en un desierto caluroso y estéril. Los bosques han sido quemados. Cientos de cadáveres de animales llenan las carreteras. Incluso las noches son deslumbrantes. Marie, su hermana pequeña Leonie y Phillip se dirigen a las montañas en su coche con vidrios polarizados. Se rumorea que allí aún se pueden encontrar agua. Se trata de un peligroso viaje a ninguna parte. En el camino, se encuentran con Tom. Que resulta ser un mecánico de primer nivel y se convierte en un mienbro más del grupo, en alguien indispensable. Pero, ¿pueden confiar en él? La tensión crece. Como si las cosas no estuvieran lo suficientemente mal, son atraídos a una emboscada, y comienza su verdadera batalla por la supervivencia…
